The 1 Million Homes power-efficiency feature is a single building-integrated photovoltaic system. The roof tiles AND every external glass panel generate electricity — the building envelope itself is the power station, not a rooftop retrofit clipped onto a conventional home.

Every roof surface clad in solar tiles that generate electricity under load — replaces conventional concrete/clay tile as the primary building-integrated generator of the home. Sized to complement the glazing array, not stand alone.

Every external glazing panel is photovoltaic glass — windows, façade panels, and glazed doors are all electricity-generating surfaces. Completes the roof array so the building envelope is the generator, not just an accessory to a rooftop retrofit.

02 — Why It Is One System

Not Tiles Alone. Not Glass Alone. Both.

A roof-only retrofit is the standard pre-existing offer. It is not the 1 Million Homes spec. The combination is the feature — three reasons the integrated system is materially different from a tile-only install.

Roof Surface Alone Is Insufficient

A standard Australian family home's roof does not generate enough power to meet the 1 Million Homes per-home target. The roof is the primary source, not the only one.

Glazing Equals or Exceeds Roof Yield

Window and façade glazing footprint on a standard family home equals or exceeds roof footprint in summer yield terms. The glass closes the seasonal gap.

One AC Bus, One Export Meter

Integrated inverters, a single AC bus, a single export meter — to the grid, the system is one device. Not two retrofits in parallel.
